Car Seat Basics for Law Enforcement

The Car Seat Basics for Law Enforcement course is a free e-learning course that takes about 60 minutes to complete. The course will equip law enforcement officers to:

• take an active role in assessing car seat use according to evidence-based best practices,
• talk to caregivers about child passenger safety, and
• share child passenger safety local and national resources with caregivers—all within the context of regular officer duties.

Officers learn about key concepts, best practices, and effective caregiver communication through a series of scenarios that take place in the community.
