Continuing Education Opportunities

In order to stay certified as a CPS technician or instructor you must complete at least six hours of CPS technical continuing education units (CEUs) during your current two-year certification cycle. CEUs do not carry over from one period to the next, even if you have completed more than the required six hours.

In-person CEU Option: (Priority given to Wisconsin technicians with expiration dates within 6 months of event listed)

  • All 2026 Traveling CEU's have now taken place.  Check back for updates in early 2027.

Online CEU Options:

  • National CPS Board- Online videos worth 1 CEU each. After watching the video, techs will take the online quiz and earn a CEU by correctly scoring 80% of the quiz to receive a certificate. Be ready to print your certificate.

  • Safe Kids Worldwide - Choose from a variety of online courses. Earn a CEU after taking each course and passing the online quiz. Users may log in and out to complete the modules
