Safe Kids Oconto County

The Safe Kids Oconto County coalition formed in November 2003. They are led by the Oconto County Health and Human Services - Public Health.

The coalition focuses on:

• Child Passenger Safety
  • Car seat inspection stations at varying locations throughout Oconto County several times per month
  • Child Passenger Safety events
  • Disposal event
  • Numerous community events with Buckle Bear and Clicket the Cricket mascots
• Fire Safety/Prevention
  • Delivering fire prevention
  • National Fire Prevention Week
  • Sparky the Firedog mascot
  • Smoke house simulator
• Bike Safety
  • Bike Rodeos
  • Helmet giveaways
  • International Bike to School Day
  • Community events promoting bike safety
